TabVault
Everything you need to manage tabs
TabVault stores your browser sessions locally — no account, no sync, no fuss. Here's what it can do.
Save Sessions
Capture any set of URLs as a named session. Group them by topic, project, or workflow — and retrieve them any time.
One-Click Restore
Reopen all tabs in a session with a single click. Restore the entire session or individual groups as needed.
Tab Groups
Organise tabs within a session into named groups — like "Research", "Reference", or "Tools" — for a cleaner view.
Library & Workspaces
Browse all your saved sessions in the Library, or use Workspaces to keep project-specific sessions separate.
Archive & Trash
Archive sessions you rarely use without deleting them, or send them to Trash for a safe two-step removal.
100% Local
All data is stored in your browser's local storage. Nothing is ever sent to a server. Your sessions stay private.
Instant Search
Find any saved session by name or URL using the built-in search bar available in every view.
Dark & Light Mode
Switch between a warm dark theme and a calm light theme with a single click — comfortable in any lighting.
How to use TabVault
Follow these steps to save, organise, and restore your browser sessions in seconds.
1
Open the Vault
Click Open Vault on the landing screen to enter the main app. You'll land in the Library view, which shows all your saved sessions. On your very first visit it will be empty — that's fine!
No login required
2
Create a New Session
Click + New Session in the top-right corner. A dialog will open where you can give the session a name (e.g. "Work Research"), pick an icon, add a group label, and paste the URLs you want to save — one per line.
Tip: paste from your browser's address bar
3
Organise with Tab Groups
Open any session by clicking its card. In the detail panel on the right, use + Add Group to create named groups inside the session. Drag tabs between groups to keep related links together — great for large
projects.
Unlimited groups per session
4
Restore Tabs
Hit Restore All in the detail panel to reopen every tab in the session at once. Or use the per-group restore button to open only that group. If your browser blocks pop-ups, a guide will appear to help you allow
them.
Works in Chrome, Firefox, Edge
5
Archive or Delete Sessions
Hover over any session card to reveal action buttons. Use the archive icon to move a session out of your main Library without deleting it, or the trash icon to move it to Trash. You can restore
archived sessions or permanently empty the Trash from the sidebar.
Safe two-step deletion
6
Search & Switch Views
Use the search bar at the top of any view to filter sessions by name. Switch between Library and Workspaces using the tabs in the header. The sidebar also shows recently accessed
sessions for quick access.
